1. Odunde Festival

The Odunde festival is the largest African-American street festival in the country. The festival is known throughout the world as one of the original models for African-American festivals hosting many internationally known African and Caribbean performers, dignitaries, folk artists and cultural leaders. The festival will be held at 2308 Grays Ferry Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19146, on Sunday, June 12, from 10am - 8pm. It is a great opportunity to share in a growing legacy of culture through celebration.

Cape May is a city at the southern tip of Cape May Peninsula in Cape May County, New Jersey, where the Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean. As a child I fondly remember visiting Cape May New Jersey. I also remember visiting the beach while we were there. The beaches of Cape May are not only very tranquil and low key, but they're complemented by a boardwalk, treats and tricks, and most importantly, the radiant Sun.

For two weeks on Sunday, why don't you check out the youth engagement program held at the Urban Art Gallery in West Philly. This program instilled and builds critical thinking, goal setting, strategic decision-making, building confidence, and understanding consequences. "Within the Chess Chat Program, we believe it's all about making an impact! It takes a village. " All materials will be provided. There are six classes per session. The Art of Peace, written by Morihei Ueshiba, and published in 1992 is a meniscus book with a magnitude of magical words of wisdom that not only teach tolerance but also subscribes peace.

6. Spend A Day Getting back to nature

If you look around your neighborhood and you see nature, you are the lucky few. If not, spend a day, at least, getting back to nature. Not only is nature peaceful but it allots you time with yourself to reflect and to appreciate the beauty of God and Mother Earth as a whole. Natural resources are becoming more and scarcer but if we spent some time appreciating its wonders we could think twice about a lot of things.

7. Feng Shui Your Home

Feng Shui is a system of laws considered to govern spatial arrangement and orientation in the flow of energy. With the new season approaching, dust off those ceiling fan and move that couch to a new spot to let the new energy flow through your home. Do some spring/Summer Cleaning.
