How do you feel about being nominated? 

I am truly humbled by the nomination. Typically, I feel my work is simply doing my duty. So, for this recognition, I am supremely grateful. A shoutout to BrothaShomari for this honor.

What are your plans? 

My goal is to build a self-sufficient educational resource center; together, as African community members, constructing a curriculum that includes hip-hop and united principles among diverse African and Aboriginal people is part of my plan.

What are you engaged in?

 I am creating an album about rites of passage that centers around my own personal growth of getting to know myself. Also, my favorite work right now is the University of Rap, a program to bridge the gap between our elders, young warriors and children.

To you, what does it mean to be part of the Diaspora?

It means giving thanks to our ancestors by gaining knowledge of self, and
actively participating in the community by helping others with our gifts.
