Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, President of Ghana

Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, President of Ghana, is a strong advocate for people of the Diaspora to settle in Africa, specifically Ghana, and build with the continent.

Last year, he launched the Year of Return, an initiative that welcomed descendents of the slave trade home to Ghana, and commemorated the 400 year anniversary of the TransAtlantic Slave Trade. This initiative was symbolic of Ghana rebuilding bonds with the African Diaspora, and attracted over 1.5 million tourists to the country with $1.9 billion dollars worth of revenue accrued.

The President, firmly believes that Africa has the power to develop by helping itself. Because of Ghana's strong Pan-African background, the country was chosen as the secretariat for the African Continental Free Trade Area (ACfTA,) an initiative which aims to encourage intra-African trade to propel Africa's economic power.

Have you ever thought about visiting an African country? If so, which one?
