Cooking is a great way to bond with your loved ones. Utilizing cooking as an art form to share your culture and heritage, as well as showcase your skills in the kitchen, is an integral part of any strong relationship. "Cooking becomes a crucial lynchpin for nourishing Black American women's families" and it is one of the best ways to show how much you care about them.

Black American Women find cooking attractive in a significant other especially for women who are working outside the home.

Here are reasons women find men that cook attractive 

There are plenty of hilarious reasons why black American women find cooking attractive in men that adopt these skills.  

1. Challenging stereotypical gender roles

Women are traditionally taught to prepare the meals for their husbands because of the traditional societal expectation of them. Women today look for men who don't think they have to be the breadwinners in the family and are willing to share the workload. Women appreciate partners who can cook, because they know they're not dating old school misogynists who demand that you cook everyday while they sit back in their man-cage and enjoy their drink.

2. Men who cook are independent

Women love men who are independent and do not need constant coddling. They want men who can at least take care of themselves; which means cooking as well as other things. Women also want men who are emotionally stable and secure. They do not need to be emotional wreck or always needing reassurance.

3. It's a considerate and an intimate act.

Women want companions that will take care of them. It's comforting to know that someone will cook your meals or make your coffee when you’re sick. Cooking is a skill, and it's a thoughtful gesture to try new things or give experiences to women in order to make them feel special.

A man who is supportive of his wife at home, is also supportive and motivated in the kitchen. The man's wife may stay out of the kitchen to host guests, but the same guy who stirs the pot, clings tightly to her as she cooks to give her flavor in life. 

Men know how to create connections within their relationships and realize that sometimes a soft touch is necessary to deepen the partnership. A Man who loves playing with food will have an easier time cooking up delicious recipes to spice up a relationship. Relationships can only get better with time just like wine.

Some women think that men who cook typically take their time to mature in the process and become more attractive because they seem honest.

4. Watching men cook is a major turn on

There is something about a man who can cook that just makes him more attractive. It shows that he is capable and competent, which are both qualities that women find incredibly attractive. Plus, it's just nice to have someone around who can make a mean dish when you're feeling lazy.

5. Date night is every night

What is it about males who cook meals that appeal to women so much? It could be the fact that they are confident and comfortable in the kitchen. They know their way around the kitchen and can create a dish without having to consult a cookbook. This ability to take charge and be creative is attractive to many women. Another reason might be that cooking is seen as a domestic task that has traditionally been performed by women. So, when a man steps into the role of a cook, it shows that he is willing to do something that is not traditionally considered masculine. This can be seen as an act of defiance against societal norms or simply as an expression of his individuality. Whatever the reason, there are many women who find men who can cook to be very attractive.
