Daarina Farooq-Jannah is a floral designer, entrepreneur, and owner of Blourish, a luxury Black-owned floral design company based in Atlanta. Known for her passion for creating beauty, Daarina’s brilliant eye and attention to detail will transform any moment into a gorgeous experience. After becoming a Preston Bailey Signature Certified Wedding and Event Designer and interning with David Tutera, Daarina started her own company specializing in creating luxury floral experiences for events. lourish’s core values are rooted in integrity, quality, and timeless aesthetic. Daarina has mastered making gorgeous arrangements that transform any space or occasion.


 


Reflorish NYC


Rugie Jalloh and Effie Cudjoe are two West African women with contrasting career backgrounds and the creators of Reflorish. Now residing in Brooklyn by way of Maryland, their interest in Floral design developed as a creative escape and a form of self-care. They have now transformed their artistic energy into a source of joy for others. Reflourish NYC creates floral arrangements for special occasions and everything in between. Their love for flowers is channeled into celebrating you and your spaces, moments, and memories.


 


Buds&Blooms


Jessica Gordon and Angella Mike started Buds & Blooms. Buds & Blooms offers the highest quality of unique and internationally famous fresh flowers to people in this area and surrounding areas in Gauteng. Buds & Blooms provides a wide variety of flowers, from the finest quality fresh flowers for clients’ homes to exquisite arrangements for any occasion. As young Black women in the floral industry, motivating and paving a path for other young and upcoming florists was important. They have employed young and passionate people in the business to make them understand the importance of taking ownership of their lives and empowering them with skills that will, in turn, build and uplift the community in which the business operates.


 


Mallory With The Flowers


Born in Pasadena and raised between the City of Roses and Los Angeles, Mallory Browne started by buying flowers from Ralphs and Trader Joe’s, watching how-to YouTube videos, and simply creating in her garage. Thus, Mallory with the Flowers was born. She specializes in custom arrangements, hand-tied bouquets, and events. She curates large floral experiences for big brands and community partners, including HBO’s Insecure, Toyota, Hilltop Coffee + Kitchen, and Hank’s Mini Market.

Roots and Blooms is a full-service, high-end floral and gift services company based in Atlanta. The idea for Roots and Blooms began when owner Ednita Tingle was encouraged to leave corporate finance to follow an obvious passion for flowers. Blooming Desires


A London-based stall and online flower shop for one-off gifts, flower subscriptions, and special occasions. Blooming Desires began as a floral boutique creating modern bespoke designs. The aim was always to bring floral creations from the freshest flowers, sourced from British wholesalers and Holland flower markets directly to this South East London hub. Postal Petals Founder & CEO, Talia R. Boone entered the floral industry after a groundbreaking career in sports, entertainment, and social impact. She brings over 15 years of experience in brand strategy, communications, marketing, public relations, promotions, sales, and strategic partnerships. Postal Petals is similar to a farm-to-table produce box service but for fresh flowers. They have built a community of over 20 domestic farms by curating and shipping only the freshest, highest-quality flowers available. Each box arrives with bundles of blooms that clients can then break apart and design to suit their creative musings best.
