City & State PA Will Honor Dr. Nikia Owens in Forty In Their 40's Reception

Dr. Nikia Owens has been a tireless impassioned leader of Campaign for Working Families (CWF) since she was appointed President & CEO of the nonprofit three years ago. Many people have taken notice. One of them is City & State, a premier multimedia news organization dedicated to covering New York’s and Pennsylvania's local and state politics and policy.
City & State PA will honor Dr. Owens as part of its annual Forty In Their 40's Reception on Tuesday, October 1 in Center City Philadelphia. The organization praised Dr. Owens as a difference-maker and a rising star who is in her 40s in the public sector. City & State PA called Dr. Owens “an influential and thought-provoking leader.” Dr. Owens was chosen among an array of accomplished “Pennsylvanians in their 40s who have emerged as rising stars in the public sector.” The award spotlights Generation X and Millennial leaders – game changers and trailblazers in Pennsylvania.
