Be A King!

Lessons from the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change

Dr. Bernice King will join CalEndow Live on January 27 to discuss her life and work as CEO of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, which was founded by her mother as the official living memorial to the life, work, and legacy of her father. In this hourlong conversation, Dr. King will discuss the growth of the King Center and explain how her father’s principles of nonviolence contribute to social justice and racial equity in the United States and around the world. She will answer your questions about the ongoing struggle against voter suppression and police violence and share her personal self-care strategies.
