Bridging The Gap: 200 Years of U.S.- Liberia Ties

Commemorating 200 Years of the arrival of Free Black Americans on the shores of West Africa, resulting in the establishment of Liberia. About this event The Philadelphia-Liberia Bicentennial is the celebration of the arrival of Free Black Americans on the shores of West Africa, resulting in the establishment of the Republic of Liberia, West Africa. On May 25th, the City of Philadelphia Mayor's Commission on African and Caribbean Immigrant Affairs, African Cultural Alliance of North America (ACANA), Liberian Ministerial Alliance in North America, Liberian Chamber of Commerce, and African and Caribbean Business Council of Greater Philadelphia, will jointly host a panel discussion under the theme: Bridging the Gaps Between U.S., Philadelphia, and Liberia. The panelist will consist of scholars from Lincoln University, Cheyney University, and Temple University
