The ALS Chocolate Meltdown Party is a joint fundraiser for two ALS nonprofits. It’s happening on Friday, September 23rd at the Adventure Aquarium’s Currents ballroom and Shark Realm in Camden, NJ.

The Chocolate Meltdown supports both Hope Loves Company and the ALS Hope Foundation, two independent ALS organizations supporting and providing services for people living with ALS and their families.

The Chocolate Meltdown will feature all sorts of decadent chocolate, candy, food, open bar, and upscale silent auction. The VIP reception in the main aquarium begins at 6 p.m. with the main event going from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.

People with ALS (PALS) and one guest each are invited to the party for free as V.I.P. guests. This is a 21 and older event. Hundreds of people will be in attendance.

All proceeds go directly to Hope Loves Company and the ALS Hope Foundation. Hope Loves Company (HLC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to supporting children and young adults who have family members living with ALS. It is the only nonprofit with this specific mission.

HLC founder Jodi O’Donnell-Ames, HLC president Gary Bachrach, and their team have hosted close to 40 Camp HLCs across the nation since 2012.

Hope Loves Company also offers scholarships, sends care packages, and hosts virtual group therapy sessions. Everything is free for families affected by ALS. The ALS Hope Foundation provides funding for the MDA/ALS Center of Hope at Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine, one of the first multidisciplinary ALS clinics in the country, and the Neuromuscular Research Laboratory at Temple University College of Medicine. The Foundation also provides educational events to inform people living with ALS and the public about ALS research.

The Chocolate Meltdown would not be possible without the dozens of sponsors, and donations to the silent auction.
