On Friday, March 24th, from 5 pm to 8 pm we will be hosting a special Friday after-work network evening as a tribute to women in jazz. Women have been integral to the development of jazz music since its inception. From the early days of the genre, women have been instrumental in pushing the boundaries of jazz and creating a unique sound. While many of the pioneers of jazz are men, there have been countless women innovators and powerhouses that have left their mark on the genre. This Women’s History Month, AfriKin Art: Women Walk on Water fine art exhibition will be presenting a tribute to these amazing women. The concert will feature Melissa “Moonchild” Stokes and friends.
