This Halloween might be over, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to start planning for the next one! You don’t always have to go for a full outfit to be the best dressed at your nearest Halloween. Makeup can do wonders and turn you into any creepy or glam character.

Don't worry you don't have to be a pro-MUA for any of these. We compiled the best Halloween makeup ideas to hit our feeds over the years. Whatever your plans or your style, scroll on for the best Halloween makeup looks for 2021.

Classic Creepy Clown

The cult classic horror movie IT has solidified clowns as one of the go-to creepy costumes to wear on Halloween. Veteran YouTuber MsAaliyahJay shows us to get a creepy but glam clown makeup for spooky season on brown skin.

A Great Disney Villian

Everyone loves The Lion King and Mufasa’s infamous brother Scar and it’s a great Halloween costume for Black people, whether you’re a man or a woman. This tutorial helps you achieve his signature scar across his eye look with minimal makeup skills, making it the perfect last-minute costume.

Rotten to the Core

When you think of Batman, his arch-nemesis, The Joker comes to mind, but so does his faithful sidekick, Harley Quinn. YouTuber Doni Rye shows us how to achieve Harley Quinn’s modern-day look, along with the signature pink and blue pigtails; and infamous baseball bat. This costume is more glam than gore but is very much on-trend.

Devil in a Red Dress

Would Halloween really be Halloween if you didn’t see someone dressed up as the king of Hell himself? If you’re more confident about your makeup skills and not afraid to do a little bit of body painting as well, this might be the look for you. Don’t have any horns to finish off the look? No problem. Do what Jasmine Brown did and tie a section of your hair to look like horns. Throw in a pitchfork, a red dress, or cape, and you’ll be looking like Lucifer.

Not-so Little Spider

YouTuber MsAaliyahJay has many Halloween makeup tutorials but this eight-legged look is certainly popular with more than 190,000 views and 15,000 likes. All this look requires is a steady hand and perhaps a glam, yet creepy black outfit to complete the costume. If you want to kick this look up a notch, draw a spider web on the side of the other eye.
