The Maasai Mara National Reserve is a large game reserve in southwestern Kenya, adjacent to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. 

It is named in honor of the Maasai people, who live in the area and have traditionally used the land for cattle grazing. The reserve covers an area of 1,510 square kilometres (580 square miles) and is one of Kenya's most popular tourist destinations.

 The reserve has various animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and hippos. Visitors to the reserve can also see many birds, including vultures, storks, and flamingos. 

The annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti-Maasai Mara ecosystem is one of the most impressive natural phenomena in the world.

 The Maasai Mara National Reserve was established in 1961 as a wildlife conservation area. In 1974, it was designated a national park. Today, it is managed by the Kenya Wildlife Service.

Lake Nakuru

 Lake Nakuru is situated in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya. It lies on the floor of the valley at an elevation of 1,754 m above sea level and has an area of 188 km2. The lake is surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland. Several hot springs around the lake maintain a constant water temperature of 20-22 degrees Celsius.

Lake Nakuru's ecosystem is home to many animals, including many species of fish, amphibians, reptiles, and mammals. The most common fish in the lake are tilapia and catfish. 

The amphibians include several species of frogs and toads. 

The reptiles include crocodiles, snakes, and turtles. 

The mammals include hippopotamuses, waterbucks, zebras, giraffes, buffalos, and elands.

The lake is world-famous for its vast flocks of lesser and greater flamingos that feed on Spirulina platensis, a cyanobacterium that flourishes in alkaline waters. 

The number of birds often reaches 1.5 million. Other large waterbirds include pelicans, herons, egrets, ducks, and gulls.

Tsavo West National Park

Tsavo West National Park is one of Kenya's most stunning natural landscapes. 

Situated along the coast, its landscapes range from tropical rainforests to semi-arid savannahs and offer a variety of activities for travellers.
