When it comes to Black films we’re definitely supporting one-hundred percent! 2023 will be another year of Black excellence and we hope all of our brothers and sisters in Hollywood get the recognition and accolades they deserve.


House Party

Release date: January 13, 2023

House Party is a comedy that features Bill Bellamy, D.C. Young Fly, Jacob Latimore, and many more. It’s about aspiring club promoters and best buds Damon and Kevin are barely keeping things together. Out of money, down on their luck, and about to lose the roofs over their heads—and freshly fired from their low-lift jobs as house cleaners—the pair needs a huge windfall to make their problems disappear. They decide to host the party of the year at an exclusive mansion, the site of their last cleaning job, which just happens to belong to none other than famous basketball player LeBron James


 


Sick 

Release date: January 13, 2023

Peacock has announced that Sick, the new horror film from Blumhouse, Miramax, and writer/producer Kevin Williamson and starring  Bethlehem Million will premiere on the streaming service.

Magazine Dreams

Release date: January 20, 20023

Magazine Dreams is a 2023 American drama film written and directed by Elijah Bynum. It stars acclaimed thespia Jonathan Majors, Haley Bennett, Taylour Paige, Mike O'Hearn, Harrison Page and Harriet Sansom Harris. In preparation for the role, Majors ate 6,100 calories a day for four months and would body-build for six hours every day to obtain and maintain the extreme muscular physique of his role.


 


Missing

Release date: January 26, 2023

Starring Nia Long and Storm Reid, Missing is about when her mother disappears while on vacation in Colombia with her new boyfriend, June’s search for answers is hindered by international red tape. Stuck thousands of miles away in Los Angeles, June creatively uses all the latest technology at her fingertips to try and find her before it’s too late. We Have a Ghost

Release date: February, 24, 2023

This adventure, mystery, family film stars Anthony Mackie, Erica Ash, and Jahi Di'Allo Winston. It tells the story about Kevin, who after he finds a ghost named Ernest haunting his new home, he becomes an overnight social media sensation. But when Kevin and Ernest go rogue to investigate the mystery of the latter's past, they become targets of the CIA.


 


Creed III

Release date: March 2, 2023

Creed III is an action, drama directed by the star himself, Michael B. Jordan. The film also features Jonathan Majors, Phylicia Rashad, and Tessa Thompson. Creed III picks up where it left off with Adonis Creed dominating the boxing world. He has been thriving in both his career and family life. When a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy, Damien Anderson, resurfaces after serving a long sentence in prison, he is eager to prove that he deserves his shot in the ring. The face-off between former friends is more than just a fight. To settle the score, Adonis must put his future on the line to battle Damien – a fighter with nothing to lose.


 


Luther: The Fallen Sun

Release date: March 31, 2023

Luther: The Fallen Sun is a crime, drama that features Idris Elba and Cynthia Erivo. This film tells the story of a gruesome serial killer who is terrorizing London while brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther sits behind bars. Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary. The film, written and produced by show creator Neil Cross and directed by fifth season helmer Jamie Payne. "Luther’s an unstoppable force," says Payne. "But up to this point, he’s had to tread around the law of the police, because that was his job. Now, he’s a fugitive. This is Luther untethered. This man is so forward in his thinking and is in action. He’s like a wrecking ball, but the smartest wrecking ball you’ve ever met in your life."


 


Chevalier

Release date: April 07, 2023

Chevalier is a drama, history, and film based on a true story. It features Kelvin Harrison and Ronke Adekoluejo. The illegitimate son of an African slave and a French plantation owner, Joseph Bologne rises to improbable heights in French society as a celebrated violinist-composer and fencer, complete with a love affair and falling out with Marie Antoinette. Inspired by the incredible true story of composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges.


 


Disney’s The Little Mermaid

Release date: May 26, 2023

This classic Disney movie is getting a live-action remake starring Halle Bailey, Daveed Diggs, and Noma Dumezweni. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters, and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea, and while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. With mermaids forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land, but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy.

They Cloned Tyrone 

Release date: July, 23, 2023

In this Netflix sci-fi comedy, a series of eerie events thrusts an unlikely trio onto the trail of a nefarious government conspiracy in this pulpy mystery caper. It stars John Boyega, Oscar winner Jamie Foxx, Teyonah Parris, Tamberla Perry, Jason Louder, and J. Alphonse Nicholson. The trio of characters played by Boyega, Foxx, and Parris break into a scientific facility that only scratches the surface of a major conspiracy that is endangering a Black neighborhood with experiments, kidnappings, and surveillance. Besides the serious mystery at the center of the movie, the story promises some major laughs along the way with the main trio's dynamic.
