Marking the one-year anniversary of one of the deadliest fires in Philadelphia history, the City’s Office of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy (OACCE), in cooperation with the Office of the Mayor and surviving McDonald family members present “Angels – A McDonald Family Tribute”, an exhibition paying tribute to the 12 lives lost in a rowhouse fire in Fairmount. For the past year, Vanessa McDonald and her daughter Estelle—the surviving immediate family members—have been on a journey of reflection and grief. This exhibit, which they have co-curated, is part of their healing process and is a testament to their strength and endurance as a family.
