Smaller weddings also allow couples to be more creative with their decorations and wedding plans, making it a more personal, intimate experience for both the bride and groom, as well as their guests. Guest can get the ultimate wedding experience and the bride and groom have the ability to have a less stressful, wedding of their dreams.

Below we broke down the top five reasons you should opt for a smaller wedding.

  1. Cost savings – A small wedding usually means you can save money on the venue, catering, decorations, and other expenses. That means more money to spend on the honeymoon of your dreams.

  2. Intimacy – With fewer people, you can make sure everyone is able to have meaningful conversations and truly feel part of your special day. You’ll find comfort knowing you won’t have to engage in any awkward conversation with family members you haven’t seen in decades.

  3. Easier planning – With fewer people to organize and fewer details to consider, planning a small wedding can be much easier. You’ll have more time to relax get that massage and facial on your big day as opposed to spending too much hashing out last-minute details.

  4. More time to enjoy your big day-- With less guest, the smaller the need to entertain them. You’ll be able to spend time with your closest family and friends.

  5. Stress-free – Having a simple, small wedding will give you more time to enjoy the day. You’ll feel more relaxed and comfortable. With bigger weddings there is usually more to plan to entertain your guest and you can easily begin to put more focus on making sure everything is going according to plan rather than enjoying your special day. Having a small wedding can take a lot of the stress out of the day so you can focus on simply enjoying it.

No need to compromise- Food and liquor are typically the biggest expenses at any wedding. Having a smaller guest list to feed means that you can keep that fancy steak on the menu. You also may be able to add on that ice cream station as a bonus for guest.

To wrap it up, a smaller wedding may be better for you in the long run. It’s natural to feel like you have to invite the whole family, college friends and coworkers, but having a smaller guest list may be the key you need to unlock your stress-free, dream wedding.
